Energy Efficient Wooden Storm Windows GreenWood WorkShop produces custom energy-efficient storm windows for homes and businesses that traditionally have older wooden sash style windows. Our storm window frames are constructed from clear wood stock and can be made with either single pane glass or with insulated dual pane glass units. The insulated glass units offer higher energy-efficiency by incorporating a low-e coating that reflects radiant energy.  In the summer months, the low-e coating reflects the radiant heat away from your window to help keep the heat out.  During the winter, the radiant heat from your furnace is reflected by the low-e coating back into the room, keeping you warmer.   Custom Sizes     The windows mount on the exterior of your windows, inside the window trim so that they are flush with the trim surface.  Mounting the storm windows is easy as we use the same traditional sash hangers that have been in use for many years.  Each storm comes with mounting hardware and instructions.  If you need miscellaneous hardware, let us know.  If we don't carry it, we'll try to locate it for you.
